Working with Michelle at Options For Women has been a wonderful and welcoming experience, from the moment I walked through the door. I was educated on my options dealing with an unexpected pregnancy and supported on whatever decision I made that best fit my situation. I chose (Life)
Katilya & Family
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, a mother of four and now a grandmother of four and one on the way.
During my early years of practice in nursing I have had a view of a person’s body is their own and decision making between the person and their physician. I have had many instances of praying for that person’s decision and honoring their request. There has always been an unsettled part in my heart and soul, knowing the decisions of some, that I did not help encourage or dissuade one way or another.
I felt God tugging at me to step out of my comfort zone and I really thought I was being called to work with human trafficking. Each time a door opened it seemed to shut quickly. I did not spend a lot of time in prayer about the decision, trusting though, something would open up. One day, completely unexpected, I received a call asking if I would be interested in volunteering for OFW. I accepted this, thinking this may be the door to work with these young ladies. Unknown to me at the time, the plan for me to be offered ultrasound technology training and me accepting was a plan for God to transform my heart.
The unsettled part in my heart and soul that I mentioned earlier, has been calmed after seeing the miracle of life at the earliest of days after conception. Now knowing that I am an advocate for so many babies to be born and those that are now in our Father’s arms, is healing for me.
I have also learned to love in a way that I thought unimaginable to those who are in unforeseen circumstances.
God is good and His plan may take time, but when He moves, LIVES change and are SAVED!
Thank you for this opportunity to serve.
May God bless our efforts,
